Across its 2025 and 2026 waves, LEGO's One Piece line has quietly become one of the best reasons to be a building fan: twelve retail sets across two waves, covering the Netflix live-action series' first season and beyond, from a pocket-size windmill hut to a 3,402-piece floating restaurant. This guide compares all twelve retail sets - the small promo giveaways are not counted, because you cannot buy them - and adds four adjacent picks: two great LEGO ships from outside the One Piece line, a manga box set, and one wearable extra for the fan who has every brick already.

The comparisons lean on published specialist reviews where they exist, brickset reader scores for every set that has them, and verified piece counts, minifigure rosters, and list prices. One timing note matters: the Going Merry's glowing launch reviews were written in mid-2025, before the second wave existed - we say so where that changes what a verdict means. Store picks lead the table below; every price we cite was checked at the retailer this week.

A quick map of the waves before the table. The 2025 wave retells season one of the Netflix show: Windmill Village, Buggy's circus, Arlong Park, the Going Merry, and the Baratie. The 2026 wave pushes into the next arcs - Loguetown, Reverse Mountain's giants, Drum Island - with seven sets including the line's biggest ship, Garp's Marine Battleship. Sixteen products, every one verifiable today. On list price per piece, the big builds earn their keep: the Baratie and the Merry sit near a dime a piece, while the small display novelties like the Gum-Gum Fruit cost the most per brick - normal for licensed display pieces, but worth knowing before the small boxes catch your eye.

The lineup, side by side

All sixteen picks, one table. Store exclusives and non-Amazon finds lead; piece and minifigure counts are from LEGO's set database.

What the Going Merry's reviews actually said

When the first wave launched in August 2025, three specialist reviews set the tone for the whole theme. BrickFanatics called 75639 one of the best LEGO pirate ships ever designed and told readers that if budget or space allows only one One Piece set, it should be this one - a verdict about the 2025 wave, written before any 2026 set existed. Jay's Brick Blog highlighted the engineering: no large specialized hull pieces, a full brick-built hull, and new thicker matte-finish sails that carry the Straw Hat logo. Rebrickable's review praised getting the entire East Blue crew in one box and called it a fun-sized build that fits real shelves.

Those judgments hold up against the 2026 wave on specs: Garp's battleship is bigger, but the Merry remains the cheapest ship in the line and the only one with the five core Straw Hats together, including exclusive Zoro and Sanji and the straw-hat Luffy variant the smaller sets skip. Brickset's reader score backs the reviews: 4.7 out of 5 from 105 ratings, the strongest in the theme.

1
LEGO One Piece Showdown with Captain Smoker 75642 box and build

LEGO ONE PIECE Showdown with Captain Smoker 75642 (target.com)

The 2026 wave's mid-size playset: Loguetown's plaza, the gallows platform, and a Smoker face-off - $69.99 at Target.

  • 547 pieces
  • 4 minifigures incl. Smoker
  • Loguetown plaza scene
  • $69.99 at Target
Read More

Loguetown is where the East Blue saga tips toward the Grand Line, and this 547-piece set stages it: the plaza facade, the execution platform, and four minifigures including Captain Smoker himself. It is one of two 2026-wave sets we point to a specific retailer for - we could not find a US Amazon listing at research time, but Target has it in stock at the $69.99 list price. As a build it sits between the small scene sets and the big castles: enough architecture to display, enough moving parts to play.

2
LEGO One Piece Battle at Drum Castle 75645 box and build

LEGO ONE PIECE Battle at Drum Castle 75645 (walmart.com)

The 2026 wave's display centerpiece: a 1,038-piece winter castle from Chopper's home arc - $109.95 at Walmart.

  • 1,038 pieces
  • Winter castle architecture
  • Rope bridge + towers
  • $109.95 at Walmart
Read More

Drum Island's castle is the visual signature of the second One Piece wave: 1,038 pieces of snow-capped towers and rope bridges, with a minifigure crew for the Chopper reunion battle. Like the Smoker set, we found no US Amazon listing when we researched, but Walmart stocks it - marked a best seller there at $109.95, a hair under the $109.99 list. If your shelf has room for only one 2026-wave location build, this is the one with real presence.

3
One Piece Box Set 1 East Blue and Baroque Works manga box

One Piece Box Set 1: East Blue and Baroque Works (barnesandnoble.com)

For the reader, not the builder: volumes 1-23 of Oda's manga in one boxed set, with a premium - $244.99 at Barnes & Noble.

  • Manga volumes 1-23
  • East Blue + Baroque Works
  • Bonus premium + poster
  • $244.99 at Barnes & Noble
Read More

Everything the Netflix series and these LEGO sets adapt starts here: Eiichiro Oda's manga, collected in the first VIZ box set - volumes 1 through 23, covering East Blue and Baroque Works, with a bonus premium and a poster in the box. At $244.99 from Barnes & Noble it undercuts buying the volumes individually, and it is the natural companion gift for someone building the Going Merry: the ship on the shelf, the story on the bookshelf. This is one of two non-LEGO picks in this guide, kept deliberately separate from the building sets.

4
One Piece Luffy replica straw hat BoxLunch exclusive

One Piece Monkey D. Luffy Replica Straw Hat - BoxLunch Exclusive (boxlunch.com)

The wearable pick: Luffy's straw hat as a real replica, exclusive to BoxLunch - $28.90.

  • BoxLunch exclusive
  • Real wearable replica
  • One Piece logo band
  • $28.90
Read More

The most recognizable object in One Piece is not a ship or a sword - it is Luffy's straw hat, the gift from Shanks that starts the whole story. BoxLunch's exclusive replica puts it on your own head: real straw, the red band, the One Piece logo, sized for actual wear rather than a shelf. At $28.90 it is the cheapest pick in this guide and the easiest gift on the list - no building required. It is the second of two non-LEGO extras here, and it pairs suspiciously well with a Going Merry on the desk behind it.

5
LEGO One Piece The Going Merry Pirate Ship 75639

LEGO ONE PIECE The Going Merry Pirate Ship 75639

The Straw Hats' first ship in 1,376 pieces, with all five East Blue crew minifigures - the set the first wave's reviewers told fans to buy first.

  • 1,376 pieces, 10 numbered bags
  • 5 minifigures - Zoro, Sanji exclusive
  • Thick matte printed sails
  • Below-deck rooms slide out
Read More

The Going Merry is the heart of this lineup. When the first wave launched in August 2025, the specialist reviews landed on the same verdict: BrickFanatics called it one of the best LEGO pirate ships ever designed and the single One Piece set to buy if you only buy one - a judgment made of the 2025 wave, before the 2026 sets existed. Jay's Brick Blog praised the engineering (no large specialized hull pieces) and the new thicker, matte-finish sails. You get the whole East Blue crew - Luffy, Zoro, Nami, Usopp, Sanji - with Zoro and Sanji exclusive to this set, and it is the cheapest way to get Luffy in his straw hat. It also undercuts every big ship in this guide on list price.

6
LEGO One Piece The Baratie Floating Restaurant 75640

LEGO ONE PIECE The Baratie Floating Restaurant 75640

The adult centerpiece: a 3,402-piece floating restaurant with 12 minifigures - the biggest One Piece set LEGO makes.

  • 3,402 pieces, ages 18+
  • 12 minifigures
  • Two removable levels
  • Brickset 4.4/5 (33 ratings)

The Baratie is the wave's flagship for adult builders: 3,402 pieces, an 18+ rating, and twelve minifigures - seven of them exclusive - covering Sanji's floating restaurant home in two removable levels. Brickset readers rate it 4.4 out of 5. The scale is the point and the problem: it is the most expensive One Piece set LEGO makes, and it needs a serious shelf. Builders who want a ship should look to the Going Merry or Garp's battleship; builders who want the definitive One Piece display piece should start here.

7
LEGO Icons Captain Jack Sparrow's Pirate Ship 10365

LEGO Icons Captain Jack Sparrow's Pirate Ship 10365

Not One Piece, but the other great brick pirate ship: the Black Pearl as a 2,862-piece Icons display build.

  • 2,862 pieces
  • Full black-sail rigging
  • Display stand included
  • In production (Sep 2025)

If the Going Merry scratches the pirate-ship itch, this is the prestige scratch: Disney's Black Pearl as a 2,862-piece collector's Icons set, all black sails and rigging, launched September 2025 and still in production. It costs nearly three Going Merrys, and it has no play pretensions - it is a display object with a stand. We include it because shoppers cross-shop these two ships constantly; the honest framing is that the Pearl is the bigger, grimmer build, and the Merry is the friendlier one with the better minifigure story.

8
LEGO Icons The Endurance 10335

LEGO Icons The Endurance 10335

The real-history counterweight: Shackleton's expedition ship as a 3,011-piece museum-style model.

  • 3,011 pieces
  • Real expedition vessel
  • Display stand + sails
  • In production through 2026
Read More

The Endurance trades fiction for history: Shackleton's polar ship, 3,011 pieces, three masts of tan sails over a black hull, built for display with a dedicated stand. It is the most technically interesting rigging job in this guide and the only set here based on a real vessel. In production until at least the end of 2026, at a list price well below the Black Pearl. Choose it if your shelf leans historical rather than anime; choose the Going Merry or the Black Pearl if story comes first.

9
LEGO One Piece Garp's Marine Battleship 75646

LEGO ONE PIECE Garp's Marine Battleship 75646

The 2026 wave's big hull: a 1,705-piece Marine warship with eight minifigures and early 4.4-star reader scores.

  • 1,705 pieces
  • 8 minifigures
  • Largest One Piece ship
  • Brickset 4.4/5 (early)

Garp's battleship is the largest ship in the One Piece line - bigger than the Going Merry at 1,705 pieces - with eight minifigures (five exclusive) including Garp himself. Early brickset readers rate it 4.4 out of 5, the best early score of the 2026 wave. The build is a proper warship: striped hull, Marine HQ markings, working deck space for the crew. On list price it splits the difference between the Merry and the Pearl. For One Piece fans who want a second ship with a different silhouette, this is the natural next build after the Merry.

10
LEGO One Piece Battle at Arlong Park 75638

LEGO ONE PIECE Battle at Arlong Park 75638

The season-one finale: Arlong Park's pagoda tower and the map-room fight in 926 pieces, all five minifigures exclusive.

  • 926 pieces
  • 5 minifigures
  • Pagoda tower + map room
  • Brickset 3.8/5 (43 ratings)

Arlong Park is where Netflix's first season peaks, and this 926-piece set stages it: the pagoda tower, Nami's map room, and a shark-turret attack play feature, with five exclusive minifigures including Arlong. Brickset readers score it 3.8 out of 5 - the build leans playset over display, and the tower's back is open dollhouse-style. For fans of the finale it is the scene to own; pure ship-and-display builders can put that budget toward the bigger sets first.

11
LEGO One Piece Gum-Gum Fruit 75647

LEGO ONE PIECE Gum-Gum Fruit 75647

The display oddball: a brick-built Devil Fruit that opens to reveal young Luffy's origin scene - 482 pieces.

  • 482 pieces
  • Opens to reveal scene
  • 2 Luffy minifigures
  • Nameplate display stand
Read More

The most unusual One Piece set is a fruit. The 482-piece Gum-Gum Fruit builds the purple Devil Fruit at display scale on a nameplate stand; the top opens to show the Windmill Village hut scene where young Luffy ate it. Two exclusive minifigures come inside - young Luffy and a stretched-arms adult Luffy you will not find elsewhere. It is a display piece first and a conversation piece always. Big-box retailers discount it below list at times, so cross-shop before paying full price.

12
LEGO One Piece Tony Tony Chopper 75643 buildable figure

LEGO ONE PIECE Tony Tony Chopper 75643

The mascot build: a 577-piece brick-built Chopper in heavy-winter form, sized for the shelf beside the ships.

  • 577 pieces
  • Buildable Chopper figure
  • Heavy-point winter form
  • Display-scale mascot
Read More

Chopper gets the buildable-character treatment: 577 pieces forming the reindeer doctor in his heavy-point winter form, pink hat and antlers included, at a scale that towers over the minifigures. No minifigures here - Chopper is the model. This style of brick-built character lives or dies on the likeness, and the big eyes and hat translate well. Too new for reader scores when we researched; judge it as a display companion to the castle and ships rather than a play set, at a mid-range list price.

13
LEGO One Piece Dorry vs Brogy Giants of Little Garden 75644

LEGO ONE PIECE Dorry vs. Brogy - Giants of Little Garden 75644

The giant duel: two brick-built giant warriors face off over a 733-piece Little Garden diorama.

  • 733 pieces
  • 2 brick-built giants
  • 6 minifigures
  • Brickset 3.5/5 (early)

Little Garden's century-long duel gets a two-sided build: Dorry and Brogy as large brick-built giant figures with weapons, plus a jungle diorama base and small crew figures - six minifigures in all, every one exclusive. The early reader score is the softest in the line (3.5 out of 5 on brickset, small sample): the giants' proportions divide opinion, and the set is more scene than structure. For Little Garden fans it is the only way to get the giants; for everyone else it ranks behind the ships and the castle.

14
LEGO One Piece Buggy the Clown's Circus Tent 75637

LEGO ONE PIECE Buggy the Clown's Circus Tent 75637

The villain set: Buggy's striped big top with a chop-chop cannon gag - 573 pieces and the wave's weakest reader score.

  • 573 pieces
  • 4 minifigures
  • Body-part cannon feature
  • Brickset 3.7/5 (45 ratings)

Buggy's circus tent is the first wave's odd one out: 573 pieces of striped big top with a cannon that fires Buggy's separated body parts, true to the chop-chop fruit gag. Four minifigures, three exclusive, including Buggy. Brickset readers score it 3.7 out of 5 - the tent interior is sparse for its mid-range list price, and the appeal leans heavily on loving Buggy. Completionists and Buggy fans should buy happily; builders chasing display value should start with Arlong Park or the ships.

15
LEGO One Piece Dr. Hiriluk's Hideout 75641

LEGO ONE PIECE Dr. Hiriluk's Hideout 75641

The small-story set: Chopper's origin in 271 pieces - a cozy snowbound hut at the line's entry price.

  • 271 pieces
  • 3 minifigures
  • Chopper's origin scene
  • Brickset 4.1/5 (early)

The cheapest 2026-wave set tells the line's saddest story: Dr. Hiriluk's hideout on Drum Island, 271 pieces of snow-roofed hut with three exclusive minifigures including Hiriluk and a young Chopper. Early readers score it 4.1 out of 5 - modest build, strong scene. As the wave's entry-priced set it is the low-risk way to test whether LEGO One Piece is your thing, and it pairs directly with the Drum Castle set for the full Chopper arc on one shelf.

16
LEGO One Piece Windmill Village Hut 75636

LEGO ONE PIECE Windmill Village Hut 75636

Where the story starts: Foosha Village's windmill hut in 299 pieces - the entry ticket to the whole lineup.

  • 299 pieces
  • 3 minifigures
  • Foosha Village scene
  • Brickset 4.1/5 (76 ratings)

The smallest One Piece set is where the manga itself begins: the windmill hut in Foosha Village, 299 pieces with three exclusive minifigures including young Luffy. Brickset readers score it 4.1 out of 5 from 76 ratings - a compact, friendly build with a boat and palm tree for color. It is the entry-priced ticket to the theme and the natural stocking stuffer; just know it is a scene, not a ship, and pairs best with the Gum-Gum Fruit set's matching village vignette.

Two more ships worth the shelf

One Piece fans cross-shop two non-One-Piece LEGO ships, and both earn their place here. Captain Jack Sparrow's Pirate Ship (10365) is the Black Pearl as a 2,862-piece display build - darker, bigger, and nearly three times the Merry's list price, launched in September 2025 and still in production. The Endurance (10335) goes historical: Shackleton's real polar expedition ship at 3,011 pieces, in production through at least the end of 2026. Neither competes with the Going Merry on minifigures or price; both beat it on sheer presence. If the gift recipient loves ships more than anime, these are the answer; if they love One Piece, stay with the Merry and Garp's battleship.

Beyond the bricks: the two non-LEGO picks

Two picks in this guide are not building sets, and we kept them deliberately separate from the comparison above. The One Piece Box Set 1 from Barnes & Noble collects volumes 1-23 of Oda's manga - the entire East Blue and Baroque Works saga the show and sets adapt - with a bonus premium, for less than buying the volumes one by one. And BoxLunch's exclusive replica of Luffy's straw hat is the $28.90 wearable: real straw, red band, sized to actually wear. Both are gift-first picks for the fan whose shelf is already full.

How I'd choose

Start with the Going Merry. It is the theme's heart, its best-reviewed set, and its best value ship - the whole crew in one 1,376-piece box. From there, pick by story: the Baratie for the ultimate display piece, Garp's battleship for a second ship with a different silhouette, Arlong Park for the season-one finale, or the Drum Castle and Hiriluk's Hideout pairing for Chopper's arc. The Windmill Village Hut is the $29.99 test balloon and the easy gift.

For the builder who has every One Piece set already, the Black Pearl and the Endurance are the upgrades - display ships with real presence, no anime knowledge required. And for the fan rather than the builder, the manga box set and the straw hat cover the reading and wearing sides of the hobby. Whatever you pick, the One Piece line is young enough that every set here is still in production - but LEGO waves retire without much warning - the classic pirate sets like Barracuda Bay and Eldorado Fortress are all gone from production now - so the 2025 One Piece sets are the ones to buy first. We deliberately excluded every retired set from this guide: everything here was in production and findable at retail when we researched it.
